Practice Policies

HOLDING YOUR APPOINTMENT

A credit card is required to secure your appointment time. I hold credit card information as part of my cancellation policy. Your credit card will not be billed unless there is a cancellation fee (see cancellation fees below). You may choose your method of payment at each session; you are not obligated to use the credit card on file.

APPOINTMENT CHANGES

Life happens and there are reasons why appointments need to be changed or canceled. I kindly request 48 hours notice by email, phone or text. At a minimum, I require 24 hours notice for all appointment changes. This allows adequate time so that I may offer your appointment slot to another client.

CANCELLATION FEES

Appointment cancellations or changes with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the session fee. Cancellations or changes within 2 hours of your appointment and missed appointments will result in you being charged 100% of the session fee.

COVID SAFETY RESCHEDULING

For the safety of myself, my clients, and our collective communities, rescheduling as a result of the development of COVID-like symptoms or unexpected COVID-19 exposure will go without penalty. No matter where we are in the global pandemic, bodywork and recovering from a potentially infectious or contagious illness don’t belong together — Please notify me as soon as possible, and wait until you’re fully recovered.

TARDINESS

Late arrivals will not receive an extension in service time and you will be charged the full session fee.

INSURANCE

I do not work with insurance companies; payment is due at the time of service.

YOUR PRIVACY

I am ethically bound to adhere to strict client confidentiality, unless mandated by law to share information.  Every effort is made to keep our communication confidential, including information about you and what happens in a session. Written consent is required if you would like me to discuss your case with another practitioner. Your written authorization is kept on file and may be revoked by you at any time. I receive ongoing clinical supervision to grow as a practitioner and strengthen my skill-set. The supervision relationship itself is protected under a contract of confidentiality.  The non-identifying details may be shared in supervision, however, individually identifying information is not revealed. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns.

CLOTHING & FRAGRANCE

All sessions are clothed. Wear what makes you comfortable. Please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, or other scented products to your appointment, and abstain from alcohol intake or other recreational substances before your session.

RESPECT FOR YOU

I am open to feedback and we may collaboratively make adjustments to best fit your needs. You may choose to talk, or to remain verbally silent. I respect your full autonomy and sovereignty over your body. You may choose to refuse touch, ask to modify an aspect of the touch, pause for a break, or stop your session at any time. I will do my best to try to make it easy to speak up when something needs attention, and to attend to both verbal and nonverbal cues.
